Having completed the Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology successfully, I must admit that this is one of the best decisions I made. Going through the course study book I realised it was very accurate and consistent with the scripture. I must appreciate the person or team that worked on the couse study book. From Basic Doctrine to Holy Spirit and demonology, to Evangelism, Healing and Follow up just ro mention few, deeply created a transformative experience for me. They have given me a clearer understanding of the foundation of my faith, helping me not just to know what I believe but also why I believe it in a more clearer way. This has created a sense of reassurance and more confidence in my relationship with God, as the teachings have illuminated areas of my spiritual life that I hadn’t fully explored before.
These study has offered me a sense of direction and purpose in my walk with Christ. I have gained a deeper appreciation for the relevance of Scripture in my daily life, realizing that God’s Word is not just a historical text but a living and active guide for modern challenges, as it was strongly illustrated under the study Authority and Authenticity of the Bible among others. The lessons have also encouraged me to give more energy to my personal spiritual habits, including prayer, worship, and study of the word and other relevant materials from pastor John Leak.
The course has also been a source of encouragement, especially when hearing how others in the class have applied what they’ve learned in their own lives. It’s a reminder that we are part of a larger faith community which is the universal Church walking this journey together. The studies have helped me feel more connected not only to God but also to the wider body of Christ. Overall, the course has been a profound blessing, rekindling the passion for growing in my faith and equipping me to share it with others.
The studies have significantly expanded my understanding of the Christian faith by offering a more comprehensive perspective on both its theological and practical aspects. Prior to this course, my understanding was often limited to personal interpretations of Scripture or what I had heard in sermons. Through this program, I’ve gained a richer and deeper grasp of foundational concepts such as God’s nature, His plan for humanity, and the meaning of salvation. The Old Testament survey and New Testament survey was a great insight where they explained the Theme for each book. That was so exciting to learn.
One of the most impactful lessons for me was exploring the interconnectedness of the Bible, seeing how the Old Testament points toward the coming of Christ and how the New Testament fulfills those promises. This has given me a greater appreciation for God’s sovereignty and the consistency of His character throughout the word of God in the bible. Additionally, learning about the doctrines of grace and faith has helped me better understand the relationship between God’s work and our response. It has clarified that salvation is a gift, not something I need to strive for, but something to humbly accept and live out in gratitude.
Beyond theology, the course has expanded my understanding of the practical implications of faith. For instance, it has taught me how to apply biblical principles to relationships, work, and decision-making.
Overall, the studies have reshaped how I view and live out my faith.
The new knowledge I have gained from this course has the potential to greatly influence my future, both personally and spiritually. One of the most immediate impacts is a renewed sense of direction and purpose. I'm more equipped to make decisions that align with God’s will, whether they relate to my career, relationships, or personal growth. This knowledge has provided a firm foundation that I can rely on as I navigate life’s uncertainties.
One area where this will influence my future is in my relationships. The course has taught me the importance of embodying Christ’s love, patience, and humility in how I interact with others in a more intentional way.
In addition, this course has sparked a desire for lifelong learning. I now want to continue studying Scripture and theology, hence registering for the Diploma class that has commenced.
Overall, the knowledge I’ve gained will serve as a compass for my future, guiding me toward a life that is more Christ-centered and purposeful.
The follow-up sessions have been an essential part of this learning process. They provide a unique opportunity to revisit and reinforce the concepts taught during the main lessons. Often, it is in these sessions that I’ve had the chance to ask questions or hear perspectives from others who have gone ahead of us with great success in ministry that deepened my understanding. The discussions and reflections shared during these times are often just as impactful as the formal teaching itself. It is incredibly encouraging to journey alongside others whose lives has been both inspiring and motivating. These sessions remind me that we are not alone in our struggles and triumphs, and they create a space for mutual support and accountability.
The interactive nature of these sessions also makes them especially valuable. Unlike traditional lectures, the follow-ups allow for a two-way exchange of ideas, which often leads to richer insights. They also provide a space to clarify any points of confusion and to explore how the teachings can be practically applied in real-life situations.
About the 'feelings' that may have arisen during the course regarding our culture and what was being presented, this course has been a deeply reflective experience for me in terms of how my faith interacts with my cultural background. It has prompted me to consider the ways in which my culture shapes my understanding of Christianity, as well as how biblical principles challenge certain cultural norms.
There were moments when I felt challenged to reconsider certain traditions or practices that may not align with Scripture. These moments were humbling but also enlightening, as they encouraged me to evaluate my values and priorities through a biblical lens.
At the same time, I found it fascinating to hear how people from different cultural backgrounds approached the same teachings. This highlighted the universality of the gospel, which transcends cultural boundaries, while also emphasizing the unique ways it speaks to each individual. It has been a reminder of the beauty of diversity within the body of Christ and the importance of unity in Him.
Overall, the course has evoked a mix of gratitude, reflection, and growth. I am grateful to everyone who took part in this life transforming course studies. The trainer Rev. Joseph Mwalo, Pastor. Phil Cayser and Pastor John Leak and everyone who have dedicated their lives and time to equip the body of Christ. Thank you and the Lord richly empower you more in an extra ordinary way.
